Here is a wall hanging like I've never seen before. . .
All the tiny pieces are indivually cut and applied to the quilt - so much cutting . . .
After the quilt show - we wandered down through the street fair - looking at all the booths and enjoying the day without rain (it had been forecast but stopped raining all the time we were in Sedro Woolley)
There are wood carvings all up and down the street - one even had a bench for resting - which I needed after about 2 hours at the quilt show . . .
One booth had all sorts of sculptures and bird houses made from re-cycled items - such imagination . . .
That quilt is amazing...certainly not something that would just get tossed into the washer!!

Okay that Eagle is exceptional. That's all I can say about that. Check out the cool sculptures. Dig those and oh but the birdhouses. So neat. What a cool place you were at. I have to admit that mosquito is funny as can be. We could use one of those down here, too!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a fun day. Love that wall hanging.
ReplyDeleteThe eagle wallhanging is fantastic, what a lot of cutting and sewing involed. I hope you bought the mosquito, so cute. Have a wonderful week:)
ReplyDeleteWow ~ That wall hanging is beautiful ! Enjoyed taking a stroll with you at the sreet fair , I love those types of events.
ReplyDelete~ Be Blessed ~
I like the quilting design. And the eagle's feather's are unique. Realistic looking.
ReplyDeleteHad to laugh at the Alaska State Bird! And that quilt! Oh my, that is a stunner. ~Lili
ReplyDeleteWow! to that amazing quilt. And out of all the costume characters I've ever seen, I have never, ever seen a baseball guy. That's a true first!
ReplyDeleteLOL! about the mosquito, and I think there are some southern states that could claim this, too! If you could see my foot after the other day's visit of mosquitos, you might well agree! It was breakfast, lunch, tea, and dinner to some hungry ones! ;-)
XO,
Sheila :-)
The wall hanging takes my breath away. Surely a labor of love. All that detail makes you feel the wind and taste the air.
ReplyDeleteLooks all very interesting. I love those birdhouses!
