Snow? April 14? This is crazy!

I got up this a.m., looked at the neighbor's roof - that is my barometer. It had been cold in the night so I was looking for frost. No frost - roof was clear as could be.

In half an hour - I opened my studio curtains - and this is what I saw. And the neighbor's roof was also covered with snow.

Poor little pansies - I hope they survive . . .

Little bird on a stick is frozen . . .

Inukshuk and driftwood whale . . .

And the fairy dances in the snow!

How is the weather this fine spring day at your house?

  3. It isn't uncommon for us to get snow in April here, but where you are in another story. Your pansies will be fine. They don't mind cold weather.

  4. Jo, I thought you were kidding at first, and I hope your pansies survive, too!

How is the weather here? People are sitting out by the pool at the inn down the street. I've got the AC on inside, and the flowers are loving the weather.

    Sending warm thoughts your way...

    XO,

  6. I guess I won't complain about the hail that accumulated to look like snow. :-)

I love your Inuksuk. We discovered those a couple of summers ago and they completely captured my heart.

  8. Wow, I had no idea it could turn like that out there this time of year. I heard we got 18" of snow on April 1, thankfully while we were on vacation. The flowers do look pretty in the snow though. ~Lili
