Vintage Tablecloth

I do love vintage embroidered linens. We went to an estate sale down the street and I found this tablecloth. There was lots of other things at the sale - but nothing else that I wanted.

The embroidery is perfectly done and in wonderful condition . . .

I later found out that these tablecloths had belonged to the grandmother a young man that we hired to do our lawns this summer. I am happy to have something that belonged to his
grandmother.

  2. Oh.... That tablecloth is beautiful. I not only love to embroider but if I find something embroidered at a market I grab it up!! Just look at that tiny cross stitching.....

  6. What a beautiful tablecloth Jo. I love embroidered table linens and used to sell them in my store in British Columbia. This looks very much like the ones I used to sell...they had matching napkins all hand embroidered. Yours is extra special because you know who owned it previously. I wish I still had all of mine but I left most of them in Canada when I moved to the States. I still have a beautiful hand crocheted and embroidered oval tablecloth that I couldn't leave behind. Enjoy your treasure!
