Don't you just love Santas? I've been collecting them for a while now - and I have rarely seen any two the same - wonder how they do that? I have them in the dish cupboard - on the buffet - in the windows - under the tree - all around the house - even outdoors.
They all get along so nicely - I think they are planning christmas surprises. . .
This Russian St. Nicholoas is one of my favorites. . . although sometimes I think my favorite is the one I'm currently looking at . . .
You'll always find Mr. and Mrs. Santa together - ready to season your food with salt and pepper. . .
This little guy isn't't a santa - but this mousie has been around for about 40 christmases - and yet he still looks so young . . .
What is your favorite holiday decoration?
What a great collection! I've been collecting nativities - now have 44. And G has started on nutcrackers - a much more modest collection because he's just begun!
ReplyDeleteOh yes....me and Santa go w-a-y back!!
ReplyDeleteGreat ones you have there....I haven't drug all of mine out yet!
Like the milk glass too!!!
When my mom decided to stop putting up a big Christmas tree, Daddy made her a "feather" tree which she hung just her very favorite ornaments on and some special ones from the family. Atop this tree would always be the angel, that was me :) - so they always told me when I was growing up. She also had two choir boys that were my brothers. My mom and Dad have passed now, and I have the tree with all the precious ornaments and memories, and yes, atop the tree is the angel reminding me of what a blest and happy childhood and Christmases I was fortunate to have.
ReplyDeleteYes I do think they are planning a nice Santa surprise for Christmas Jo! I like the Russian santa. Now I'm ready for Russian tea cakes to go with some tea and your teapots! ~Lili
ReplyDeleteAwesome!!! Once my Santas are all out, I'll share some too!! And do you still hunt for them?
