When I was a child the first time I was ever close to a landed flock of Canadian Geese I was amazed at how big they really were!!

My late husband and I used to stay in a friend's cabin on Drayton Harbor just across from Semiahmoo Resort and watch herons and Canada geese and some funny little puffin-looking birds on the water. We always took a day trip to White Rock and walked along the waterfront. Lots of cutesy little stores and ice cream places - open even in the winter time. Your pictures capture the area beautifully!

Lovely photos. The Canadian Geese have finally left as the Missouri finally froze over with our recent below zero weather. They usually aren't around in January so it was fun seeing them flying around in formation.

ReplyDeleteMy mothers parents used to live in a house in White Rock overlooking the water. I remember sitting on their glass and screened porch and watching the ships go by and the sunsets...it was beautiful. Thanks for the memories!
