A Lovely Award

Today I got a surprise - an award from Haffina Creations. It is always a delight to receive an award, and so nice to have friends that follow my blog. Stop over and see the wonderful things on her blog - you will want all of them, I'm sure.

I am supposed to award this to 15 other blogs - and I shall - I just need a couple days - and those days need to have 56 hours each. Things have been a little bit hectic here lately and we are gearing up for Don's open heart surgery on Friday - reading all the literature (it will make your chest hurt just to read it) - slowing things down a bit so we both get plenty of rest - making sure the house and cupboards are in order and menus are planned - so when I have a minute I'll pick 15 of the loveliest blogs you will ever want to read - and list them for this wonderful award. Thanks again Haffina Creations - I am honored.

A Lovely Award - again

I am so late in acknowledging this wonderful award - given to me by Crispy. Maybe she wants to take it back now - nahhh, she's too sweet for that - but I'm sorry I have let this slip - I meant to post it earlier and it somehow shot right out of my poor ol' head. This is my second time to be given this award and it humbles me to think that my blog affects others this way.

I will think on who this award should go to - there are so many wonderful bloggers. So I will do my famous list - and go around to blogs and re-list and go to more blogs and re-re-list - until I have the final list. I sound like a basketball tournament. LOL.


I met Crispy because she was reading my blog about some of my friends who quilt. We get together for a day of quilting each month and I showed one quilt and named the maker. Crispy thought it was someone she had once been friends with and had lost contact with her. She wrote me an email - almost didn't send it - asking if it was the same person (she gave me a little background), and it WAS the same person. I gave the person Crispy's email and they got back in touch - I'm so happy to have been part of it. I know my friend is enjoying Crispy - and I certainly am - her blog is so much fun. So head over there and see her fabulous hand work - she is a hand quilter - amazing - while I think on my list of who I will sent this award to.

An Award - what fun

I was so flattered to receive the Sisterhood Award from Christine - it is always nice to be complimented. The award is for blogs that show great Attitude and/or Gratitude - how very nice to be nominated.

The Sisterhood award rules are as follows:

As with many of you - I find it hard to pick some winners - I love all my blogger friends and think all of them show greatness and gratitude. Many have already been given this award - and I'd hate to miss anyone who is deserving - so I shall ponder this a few days and get back to you with my nominees. It is going to be hard to pick only 10 - maybe I will pick a few more and sneak them in.

This cute little lantern hangs in my neighbor's garden - right next to where we park our car - and I've looked at it from a distance many times - it is so much cuter up close - don't you agree?
