Sneak Peek of Contest Quilt

Thank you to all that emailed asking where I'd been. I've been here, just a little busy. It's only been 2 1/2 weeks, but I sure do appreciate your interest and concern. As you know - I'm entering a quilt in a national contest - and I've been busy working on that. I showed you a peek at the colors in my last post - but I've switched those about a little and taken the darker ones out. I like the way it is coming along.

I have to have it hand quilted (since I don't machine quilt - and only one person can work on the quilt) before Dec. 18 - I think I can make it.

Here are some peeks at the work in progress.

And one more . . .

And one last one - some wrinkly hearts - first order of business today is to press the hearts - and then . . .

to be continued . . .

OMGosh has it been that long? Where does time go? I can hardly wait to see the quilt!! How fun to enter a quilt in a National contest!! So which contest is it? Did I miss something along the way....or possibly totally forgotten (a common practice for me)?

You are such a tease Jo, leaving us to wonder how you will incorporate those pretty hearts! And I know you said slow poke quilting, but I think you're awful fast. ~Lili

Well, Jo, that quilt is going to be just absolutely beautiful! Even tho I didn't email, I had been thinking about you, but hubby was back in surgery yesterday and hopefully he will now be able to use his arm again. Anyway so glad to see your post!

I just love the colors in the peek-a-boo glimpse of your quilt. Good luck in the contest. I enjoyed reading through your other comments too, and the duck pictures are great.
