This is what I am working on today - and yesterday - and probably tomorrow. A table runner for autumn. The background is pieced of 3 1/2 inch squares of beige prints.
Now I need to add the veins to the leaves and outline the acorns so they stand out more - then layer and quilt, and bind. I think the binding will set it off beautifully. I will be doing a scappy binding of all the leaf fabrics.
Shouldn't be long until it is finished and ready to use. Then on to a christmas table runner.
Oh I want to see it after you add the veins to the leaves...your work is so beautifully detailed, I hope we get to see what it looks like when you finish!
Oh My...there you go again with some of your quilty 'cuteness'!! It is going to be w-a-y nice when you finish....I assume you will 'hand' quilt it too???
This is very nice. I love fall decorating. I actually have put out all my fall decorations, which will last me through November with the addition of a few pilgrims and turkeys (figurines, ha!). I used to be so good at decorating for all the seasons - especially when Kristen was younger - but I have really cut back in the last few years, so I am proud of myself for having accomplished this. (I know it was because I was going through all those Rubbermaid tubs looking for rummage sale items.)I am selling almost all my Halloween items - either at rummage or on eBay for vintage items.
Cute table runner. I know you don't like fall colors, but you did a good job in selecting colors. Great job!
ReplyDeleteLooks great, Jo. Very Autumn-ish. I especially like the cute acorns.
ReplyDeleteWonderful graphics on that runner. This should be a cute one!

ReplyDeleteI like all the different leaf shapes. Are these leaves from your yard?
