There are such pretty cottages along the bluffs - this rock one is charming - and now is a summer rental. Can't you just feel the summer sea breezes as you sit out on the lawn?
A nice place for an afternoon of reading and sipping iced tea . . .
The cottage even gets it own name!

Another stone cottage just down the road. These are real stones, gathered from the beach. That was not an easy task I'm sure, since the beach is straight down very steep bluffs.
On the way back home we took a different route and came upon this darling Antique Shop - unfortunately it was closed . . .
Forever . . .
And there was a butterfly chair - just waiting for a child to come and sit and swing their legs back and forth and dream of fairies in the summer . . .
Love all the beautiful pics but the Stone Cottage is 2die4!! I love stone or brick homes!!

ReplyDeleteWell, I better get packing. I leave tomorrow for PA. But thanks for posting because it gave me something beautiful to look at while I drank my morning tea!

ReplyDeleteThose sky shots were incredible!
ReplyDeleteI love the stone cottage - it would be a dream holiday location! Off to google Samish Island!
It all looks idyllic. How lovely.
ReplyDeleteJo, Samish Island is probably my favorite place on earth. I know it well. I used to go to summer camp there. The beaches, the herons in the woods... it's such a peaceful place. There is also a wonderful and comfortable B&B called Samish Point By the Bay, where my folks have stayed.
ReplyDeleteStone houses are my very favorite, we used to live in one! This place is incredible, why haven't you ever shown it to us before? Love all the mares tail clouds. ~Lili
