When I was a child the first time I was ever close to a landed flock of Canadian Geese I was amazed at how big they really were!! Lovely photos!! Marilyn
My late husband and I used to stay in a friend's cabin on Drayton Harbor just across from Semiahmoo Resort and watch herons and Canada geese and some funny little puffin-looking birds on the water. We always took a day trip to White Rock and walked along the waterfront. Lots of cutesy little stores and ice cream places - open even in the winter time. Your pictures capture the area beautifully!
I've looked the other way from White Rock to Blaine! Whenever we drive south I think about going to Birch Bay and then I just step on the gas and move on. One of these days I'll have to stop in.
Lovely photos. The Canadian Geese have finally left as the Missouri finally froze over with our recent below zero weather. They usually aren't around in January so it was fun seeing them flying around in formation.
What a fun day. Your photos are exceptional. That is a great camera. And you certainly know how to use it well. Thanks for taking us on your photo journey.
My mothers parents used to live in a house in White Rock overlooking the water. I remember sitting on their glass and screened porch and watching the ships go by and the sunsets...it was beautiful. Thanks for the memories! Maura :)
Thanks for visiting my little corner of the world. I am busy with quilting, especially hand work and playing with our two grandsons. We moved into our new house a year ago and are visited often by deer, squirrels, racoons and lots of birds. Sit a spell, enjoy a cup of tea and wander through my world.
We live green, trying to tread lightly upon the earth and look for ways to simplify our life. Enjoy the Day is our motto - for this moment is all that we really have. Join us and we'll enjoy the trip together.
We live in the lovely, green Pacific Northwest, almost all the way to the Canadian Border. I spend my time taking photos, or quilting or playing with our two grandsons, ages 7 and 10.
Our third grandson, Donnie Ray, was born in West Virginia in June and we got to visit him in October.
We try to live green, step lightly upon the earth and honor all beings, our two legged friends, four legged friends and winged and finned friends.

I love Birch Bay. You've captured it wonderfully here.

Your "goodbye" shot made me laugh Jo! There's a lot of good energy on that beach, love seeing all the birds' comings and goings. ~Lili
