On Monday we were invited to go along with Ben and his parents to the Kindergarten registration and tour - and what a good time we had.
First thing - it was cold and blustery so Ben had to zip up his coat - don't you just love those cow boots?
A welcome sign just inside the door . . .
Getting a name tag - written on a school bus . . .
And a book bag - three styles to pick from - Ben decided on a penguin . . .
In the classroom the kids wrote their names and then found a table with something interesting on it. Ben picked the table with foam shapes, so he could build a shape train.
Touring the school bus - where each child got a snack . . .
Running to Grampy after the school bus tour . ..
Listening to the principal speaking . . .
The hand washing station - discovering how the foot controls work . . . such interesting things in school . . .

Had to laugh at Ben's expression listening to the Principal talk. Some things never change! I'm impressed at the thoroughness of school registration/orientation these days. Now to get past watching him leave on that first day of kindergarten . . . ~Lili
This introduction is so much better than when I was a child & we just got dumped at the school the first day....It was scary!!
Have a Great Day!!

How nice that you were able to go and take pictures, too.
Ben does look excited, well except when the principal was talking. My guess everyone would have liked to put their heads down on the table for that. Great way for the kids to get introduced to school and not have that frightening first day. Thanks for sharing Ben's big day with us.
What a wonderful day for Ben!! I bet he can hardly wait for school to start next fall. Why do principals have to be so boring ROFL.

What a fabulous time for you all - how nice to be able to watch your grandson growing up!
Ben is so cute, and he looks like he's going to like school! Loved seeing all the pics and going to his orientation with you!

Aww Ben, little buddy. You're growing up so fast and it looks like you're handling this Kindergarten business like a man. Gosh, my heart goes pitter patter.
