Mine is a wallhanging - I made 7 of these for family and friends one year - and yet I don't have one for myself. They are all hand appliqued and hand quilted, while the flying geese borders are paper pieced.
I used tiny, shiny red buttons for the holly berries . . .

That is so pretty Jo, it has so much depth to it, beautiful! I popped over to that link for the other Christmas quilts and there is one lady that has such a fun idea, it's the one that says something about the ultimate practical Christmas tree, and IT IS! ~Lili
Hi Joanne, Your blog is coming in so small. I cannot read anything. Your end or mine? Jen

OH MY, I want one of your lovely geese... You are like me, you make things and give them away, then look around you own house and there is nothing that you made. But we bring smiles to others and that is what is important
This is so pretty, Jo! I have never made a Christmas wall-hanging or quilt... but I would like to do a tree skirt for this year as we now have an artifical tree that I can leave up for more than a week without needles falling off.
Your projects are always so pretty!!
Lovely work & you did it seven times over!

Hi, lady! Just dropping by to thank you for your comments today! I was a bit intimidated by a roast, but Eddie was a hard man to refuse.
I am still loving this quilt hanging. I thought about you yesterday. I bought a vintage crazy quilt (probably from the 40's or 50's), and most of the fabric appears to be silk (or silk ties). I put it up in the foyer for the Christmas Tour in honor of all of my quility friends. I was happy to take down what was there as I really didn't like it, and I love this. If you were closer, I would BEG to display one of yours (and then BEG to keep it)! LOL! So be glad you are safely on the other side of the country.
Have a great week...
xo,
Sheila :-)
