I made this quilt about 12 years ago. My friend Lois drew the teddy bears, one for each month of the year. I did the stitching and made the quilt, also hand quilted it. It would fit a child's bed and my friends asked why I was making a kid's quilt when I didn't have kids at home, or any grandkids at that time.
I told them that the first grandchild gets the quilt - and I gave this one to Ben when he was first born. Maybe I'll make another one sometime - for the grandchildren that we hope will be coming to WV before too long.
We made a pattern for the quilt - which we have been selling for a couple years now.

I seem to favor dark green or blue when I'm doing this kind of work. I love your teddy bear quilt!!!
What a great quilt, I bet Ben loved it, or maybe still does but he is such a "big" boy now LOL.
Crispy
I am so partial to the Deep red but they are so easy to do it in any color sceme you want!!
Hey...I don't have any young children or grandchildren at all & if I find a baby afghan pattern I like I will make it & let "My Boyz" cuddle in it!!
Enjoy the Day!

Way to go for making a pattern for all to enjoy. I do love the red it is so amazing.
I love the green. WOW, so nice!
You did a great pattern. I love redwork mostly but I've been working on Hocuspocusville in black.
I don't have any of those yet... but have always loved the simplicity of one color on a white or muslin background! Thanks for sharing!
PS I just love all your quilts! They remind me of my grandmothers quilts...
I didn't know you had a published Quilt pattern. Where can we buy it?
I love your quilt Jo! I'm partial to the purple version! Years ago I made 3 Laura in Redwork wallhangings as gifts. I didn't make one for myself and I didn't end up with the one I made for Deb. I am currently working on Winter Wonderland by Crabapple Hill.
That is an adorable quilt! I love it! And I wouldn't need an excuse of a child to make it. I'd like to have it for me. LOL!
The red and blue are my favorites.

What a cute quilt. And what fun seeing it made up in all the different colors.
Lucky Ben! And I love it in blue too. Wow, your own pattern Jo, you are famous! I love teddy bear patterns, I started a counted cross stitch with dressed up teddy bears called "Sunday Best" about 9 years ago and still haven't finished it.
I love the purple one! Lucky Ben! You do beautiful embroidery.
