Day 3 and 4 post surgery

Hi Everyone
Sorry for not posting I was a bit under the weather.

Day 3 wasnt such a great one. Probably had to do with having a crappy nurse for the day. She pushed too much and was just generally a witch with a capital B.

Day 4 was better. Nurse Witch was off and Donald got some food that he actually liked. I think eating food you like makes you feel better , even if it is low sodium hospital food.

I didnt realize it but he had a temporary pacemaker. They took that out yesterday and said that usually 2 days after getting it out patients go home. So lets hope that Donald is home Thursday.

You're right about the food. Comfort. Care. Healing. Love. I mean, I'm just sayin'...

Sorry to hear about Nurse *ITCHY! Let's hope Don can get home soon and have home-cooked meals. Somehow low-sodium at home is so much better than low-sodium in the hospital.

Oh I'm sorry you haven't been feeling well, hope you are getting better!!

Good Grief, that nurse should be reported. Cardiac patients do NOT need to be stressed out by grumpy nurses. Here's hoping Don will be home for the weekend!!

There always seems to be one of those nurses per floor!!You shouldn't be a nurse, or a doctor, if you can't have the proper bedside manner!!! Glad she's off and he's feeling better, and he'll be home soon...........

I found the night shift nurses to be just a bit on the weird side. Kinda grumpy and irritable. I've also heard that heart patients, for some reason, take awhile to taste food the way they used to. It can cause alot of friction in the family. But that hospital food is the pits, so I don't blame him for complaining. Let's hope he can get home soon and really get some rest. You sure don't get it there!

It's never easy for the patient having to stay in the hospital for any length of time. Not only is the food awful, but then the doctors and nurses prod at you all day and night. But, the positive side is Don has made it through the surgery as well as the first couple of days afterwards and soon, he will be home where he can fully recover with his family at his side. I am praying his homecoming will be sooner than later. Hugs, Dena

I am so sorry about the __itchy nurse! Horrible, as if he did not have enough to contend with. Many prayers for a fast recovery.
